Alfie and Freddie are Degus who featured in Pete’s column on Saturday 23rd July 2016.
They are brothers, who are approximately 2 and a half years old. They have been in adoption with us roughly 3 months due to their previous owners moving home. Alfie and Freddie are extremely friendly and love being handled, and they must be rehomed together.
Whilst being with us they have been in isolation due to one of them developing a bald patch on the back of his neck. They were treated for mites from the vets but the vet thought it was more likely to be a stress related issue due to moving homes. This is all clear now and no further action is required. We are just eager to find them a new loving home where they will get lots of fuss and attention. Support Adoption For Pets have created a natural themed home for them in adoption, with lots of un- treated Hazel branches and a forage and digging box to keep them busy. They are always exploring and out showing off to customers walking past!
