Mabel came to Cats Protection’s Beverley & Pocklington Branch when her owner sadly passed away. She was initially very wary but with time and lots of TLC Mabel has turned into a happy, friendly cat. She is an easy to care for and very rewarding cat who deserves a loving retirement home.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
Mabel has fallen on her feet after 44 days in care. She was very timid and frightened when she moved to her new home in Cottingham and hid for the first three weeks or so. Now she has settled, she has really come out of her shell and enjoys sitting on a knee for a cuddle on an evening. She is now good friends with the family’s other cat, Holly, who is four years old. Mabel is lovely natured and gets on well with the family’s 21 month old toddler and is happy to be stroked by her! Her mother is quite happy to leave the two of them together. Mabel loves her food which is not surprising – apparently it was chicken breast for breakfast this morning.
