Four-year-old Mia is looking for a home as an unbacked project pony. This sweet-natured 12hh, cob cross has really enjoyed her basic in-hand training and is looking for an experienced Guardian who can continue on with her training and unleash her potential.
Mia came to Redwings Horse Sanctuary as a foal in 2016 with her mum, who had sadly been found with an untreated injury to her hoof. Tragically, she was in so much pain that Redwings’ vets had to make the heart-breaking decision to put her to sleep, leaving little Mia an orphan. Luckily, Mia quickly befriended fellow orphaned foal Rocket and the pair flourished together with the help of their foster mums.
If you think you can offer Mia a loving home, head to www.redwings.org.uk/rehoming where you’ll also find details of other rescues horses, ponies and donkeys looking to be rehomed.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
Mia was rehomed in June and now lives with her Guardian Karen and her family in Norfolk, as well as fellow Redwings pony Jeremy Fisher. Karen says, “She has settled in well and is a real sweetie! At the moment she is having lots of fuss and grooming sessions from me and my children. In the long run we will back her for the children to ride; I’m hoping she will be a lovely lead rein pony as she has such a nice temperament.”
