Pixie is a very affectionate 13 year-old white Tortoiseshell cat. She loves to spend time dozing on a bed or a comfortable sofa and will purr and pad when she is given a cuddle. Pixie is looking for special owners who can care for her in her dotage and give her the medicine she needs to treat her hyperthyroidism, a common condition in older pets. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
Within days of featuring in Pete Wedderburn’s column, Pixie found a loving new home with Mrs Sharon Gilbert, who is delighted at the new addition to her family: “Pixie is such a lovely cat, she is so friendly and adores being around us. I wanted an older cat because I know they are often the last to be picked – people shouldn’t be put off by age, older cats make perfect pets!”.
