Pumpkin and his brother Pepper need a new home

Outcome

Six-year-old lion rabbit Pumpkin and his brother Pepper are looking for a new home where they can continue to live together. The pair really enjoy each other’s company and can often be found snuggling up together or grooming each other. Their beautiful manes do need some upkeep, but luckily both bunnies enjoy a fuss and being groomed. Pumpkin and Pepper have mostly lived outdoors and would love a spacious hutch with a run attached for them to spend their time exploring and if possible and secure garden to roam in too.

If you think you could offer Pumpkin and Pepper the happy new home they are looking for, contact the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Lewknor on 0300 777 1500 or visit www.bluecross.org.uk to find out more.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?

“Pumpkin and Pepper have been an absolute pleasure to own! Their inquisitive and cheeky personalities are a constant source of amusement and they are amazing company – especially when you have a treat on you! The main thing I noticed about Pumpkin and Pepper is how easily they settled in; they are so friendly and were so unfazed by being in a new place. It also felt so nice to know I had given them a home, and quite frankly I don’t think I could have found a better pair of rabbits anywhere. Rehoming them has been so rewarding and it feels so special learning their distinctive quirks – Pepper likes to sunbathe, a lot. He loves kale and also being groomed – I think it’s quite a nice massage for him! Pumpkin will not stop until every nook and cranny has been explored and he loves to climb on anything he can – especially my shoulder! But I think the best part about Pumpkin and Pepper is how much they love each other. I will often look into the garden to see them sleeping together, exploring together and grooming each other. It is privilege to own such a lovely pair of rabbits and I’m so thankful that I was able to rescue them from Blue Cross!’
