Jon is a sweet, sensitive 3 year old crossbreed

Jonathan, AKA Jon to his friends, is a sweet and sensitive boy and doesn’t let the fact that he is deaf stop him enjoying life to the max! Jon loves to play with a ball and likes to keep his brain sharp by learning new things, then it’s time for a nap! He enjoys his sleep but once he’s awake he is ready for walkies. When out and about Jon is sociable with other dogs and he prefers quiet, rural walks as he can find the world a bit scary at times, particularly fast-moving cars. As Jon can’t hear he relies on hand signals and his new family should be willing to continue helping him learn in this way. He is very eager to communicate with people and he already knows a lot of tricks through sign language.

He is looking for an adult-only home and whilst he’d like to be the only dog in the home, he’d enjoy having doggie friends when out and about. Experience with deaf dogs would be helpful and he’d need a home that is away from the hustle and bustle and close to rural walks.
