Meg the hen is looking for her forever home

If Meg was a cat she would have lost at least two of her lives by now. She was dumped in a cage with eight other hens at Hen Central last summer. There was no note and the hens were in some distress – it was a very small cage. The nine girls were taken to the South Zeal re-homing centre and after a few days recuperating, they were allowed to join the resident flock of other wonky hens looking for homes. Meg’s drama wasn’t over as, a few months later, she was attacked by a Springer Spaniel! She was literally saved from the jaws of death and it wasn’t likely she would make the night, but she did! She gradually gained strength and is now living life as a normal hen.
