Midnight featured in Pete’s column on Saturday 29th August 2015
Midnight is with Cats Protection’s Bury St Edmunds branch and has been waiting patiently for a new home since December 2014. He is a little shy at first but very friendly once he gets to know you. Midnight’s sad story is that he was living happily with a family until a dog moved in. He was upset by this and started living outside in the garden but as it was winter his owners thought it better to get him rehomed. Midnight is 11 years old and in good shape except that he has hyperthyroidism. This condition is well controlled by medication which he takes with absolutely no problem. (His fosterer covers his tablet in liver paste and he wolfs it down before breakfast.) Cats Protection is prepared to continue to pay for the medication because it doesn’t want potential owners to be put off by the potential cost. He’d be best suited in a relaxed, quiet home – without dogs obviously though he might be happy to live with another cat – depending on the cat.
