Phoebe featured in Pete’s column on Saturday 16th July 2016.
Phoebe is a 2 year old Lurcher and a gentle natured girl who originally arrived at Battersea as a stray. She has taken some time to adjust to the hustle and bustle of kennel life, and is now looking for her forever home where she can flourish. Phoebe absolutely loves her food, and this has proven to be a successful tool for her training! She has learnt ‘sit’ and ‘down’ during her stay here, and she would enjoy learning more fun commands at home. She is a sensitive natured girl, therefore she needs her owners who have experience in settling a rescue dog into a new home using calm and positive training methods.
She enjoys the company of dogs and is a very playful girl but can be a bit too excitable for some dogs. New owners will need to keep her socialised with calm and steady dogs who will act as role models. She will be suited to living in a quiet location with new owners who are willing to continue her training. Phoebe is doing brilliantly with her training and is such a sweetheart. Once she is settled she will be a perfect addition to her new family.
If you can offer Phoebe the second chance she so deserves you can visit the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home website www.battersea.org.uk, or register – in person at one of our centres or by calling 0843 509 4444.
