I’m just back from two weeks of annual holidays – from clinical work, from writing, from television and from data connection. Like many folk, my life is now permanently connected up – wired or wireless, my life is always “on”.
Apart from the proactive aspects of submitting articles etc, there’s the reactive side – replying to emails, tweets and Facebook messages. I love doing all of this, and I love being able to link up globally so easily and quickly with so many people. But I’m really aware that burnout is a risk – which is why I vanish for a couple of weeks every summer.
So I’m back now – it’ll take a while to catch up with messages and to learn about what’s been going on, but by the end of the week, I should be fully connected and up to speed…..
