Crufts: what I learned in 2016

German Shepherd dogs

This year, I visited Crufts for a day with TV3’s Ireland AM: the resulting video will be shown this coming Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I have written an online piece in the Daily Telegraph about my experience.

Crufts includes the widest imaginable range of dog-related activities, including obedience, agility and fly ball, sports like Canicross, community work such as disability assistance, and innovative areas such as dry-rot-detection dogs.

The huge exhibition at Crufts includes enough commercial dog paraphernalia to fill a warehouse, while the Discover Dogs section allows potential pedigree pup buyers to see an adult version of almost every dog breed out there. It’s no wonder that Crufts attracts so many visitors: if you like dogs, you’ll find plenty to interest you.
