Every year, part of my job as the Daily Telegraph pet columnist involves putting together a list of new and interesting Christmas gifts with a pet theme. Some of the presents are for pets, and others are for pet-loving humans. I drew up the first list a few years ago, with the help of many pet lovers who put forward their own favourite items as suggestions. Every year, I update the list with various interesting goodies that I come across while at veterinary and pet events, and via the media.

I’m also going to do a twice daily update for the next few days focussing on a few of the newcomers from this year. There’s still just time to order stuff online in time for Christmas, but don’t leave it much longer!
