Seal rescue in Ireland: a podcast describing a real life case of rescuing a Grey Seal pup

I was recently involved in the rescue of an injured seal pup from one of the beaches in my local town (Bray, in County Wicklow, Ireland).

In this podcast, I describe the series of events which led to the rescue, and how the injured creature was picked up and transferred to a dedicated rescue and rehabilitation centre. You can listen by clicking on the play button below.

Seal Rescue Ireland do a great job for these vulnerable wild creatures: they rescue up to 80 every year. The animals would definitely die without their help. Their centre in Courtown, Co Wexford is open to the public, and it’s well worth visiting.

A listener called in with a spot question: could their 12 year old dog be deaf?
