Adopt a greyhound as a pet – you won’t regret it

This week on Ireland AM, we featured rescued greyhounds as pets: April is Adopt-a-Greyhound month.

Greyhounds are gentle, sensitive and affectionate dogs who settle well into home. Contrary to belief these dogs do not need lots of exercise, only two 20 minute walks a day. They make ideal pets for single, couples, families and retired people. Greyhounds can live happily with other pets although precautions need to be taken with those who still have a high chase instinct (e.g. some greyhounds may need to be re-trained that cats are NOT for chasing).
