All you need to know about microchipping including live microchipping of a small dog

This week, on 31st March 2016, microchipping became compulsory in Ireland (and coincidentally, also in England, Scotland and Wales). On Ireland AM this week, I discussed  what this means to pet owners.

To show exactly what’s involved, I microchipped Tilly, a small cross-bred Chihuahua who came into the studio with me. You can see for yourself what’s involved. It would be wrong to say that it’s painless, but it’s no worse than any injection, and the discomfort is over in a moment.
