Assistance dogs offer help to people in all sorts of ways. But how do you tell a genuine “assistance dog” from a well trained pet who may be wearing a jacket bought over the internet, labelling him as a “comfort dog”?
There’s no doubt that these animals can transform people’s lives, offering invaluable emotional support with their companionship as well as carrying out there practical tasks. There have been two hiccoughs that have slightly marred the rapid growth of assistance animals.
