Questions from listeners about pet cats

  • My three month old kitten keeps suckling and kneading on things.. She wasn’t separated from her mother too early.. what can I do about it?? Also, do you think it is safe to let her sleep in bed with us at night? Thanks
  • Can you please ask Pete what he thinks might be the root cause of a very pungent smell I sometimes get from my house cat – and the utility room in which she sleeps at night – maybe once every couple of weeks. Sometimes I can even smell it from the kitchen before letting her in from the utility room in the morning. I don’t think it’s urine as I’ve searched everywhere in the utility room – bedding, floor mats, etc. for evidence. Thanks Barry.
  • We adopted two 6yr old cats last weekend from ispca. They were both in a research facility for all their lives. They sit looking at the glass door of the oven, perhaps because they were in cases with glass fronts? What can we do to help them settle in

  • My 8 year old male cat very often throws up after eating, should I be worried?
