I’ve written and spoken a lot about the greyhound industry in recent weeks, and this podcast is the latest discussion. For those new to this topic, please listen and learn. I see myself as a moderate on this – I am not inherently against dogs racing one another. I have seen for myself how much they can enjoy this. When my own dogs are out on a walk, they enjoy chasing each other, vying to go faster than the other. So for me, the racing aspect is fine. But it’s the affiliated heartlessness that sometimes accompanies the industry of greyhound racing that seems so wrong. Is it possible to have a greyhound racing industry without the negative aspects?
That’s the really big question.
