Microchipping The best way to make sure lost pets come home

Microchipping is soon going to be compulsory in the UK and Ireland and it could mean the end for ‘Dog Lost Radio’.

What is “lost dog radio”? It’s an expression that’s sometimes used to describe the worst of parochial local radio shows, where a call is broadcast on behalf of some pooch that has gone missing. This sort of information is immensely important to the owners of the lost dog, but of little interest to most listeners, who are unlikely to live within a day’s dog-running of the missing animal.

“Lost dog social media” is the latest manifestation of this phenomenon.
