Today is International Dog Day, a time to celebrate the canines in our culture.
In this podcast, Declan Meehan from East Coast FM and myself discuss the plight of dogs in Ireland today, covering topics like dog licences, microchips and the surge of unwanted pets ending up in rescue centres, linked to the cost of living crisis. We also mention the upcoming Pups in the Park, a festival celebrating dogs, due to take place in two weeks in Marlay Park, Dublin, on the weekend of September 10th and 11th 2022.
