A new movie – “The Secret Life of Pets” – is about to be released in Ireland, and the good news is that the ISPCA has been chosen as the charity to benefit from fund raisers linked to the movie. The movie opens this coming weekend (18th/19th June) in Ireland. You can watch a trailer here: you can see why it’s been called “Toy Story for Pets”. It looks like an entertaining movie for all ages – and to make it even better, it’s raising much needed funds for the ISPCA.
My own dog Kiko is a star
As part of this project, my own pet Kiko was asked to take part in an exhibition exposing some of her “secret life” to the public. Kiko was one of several “celebrity pets” to be chosen to feature in a free photographic exhibition which is currently running in the Temple Bar in Dublin.
The photographs – along with a range of pics of other people’s pets – are being auctioned off at the end of the exhibition to raise money for the ISPCA. If you’d like to put in a bid for a pic of the lovely Kiko, visit the ISPCA website.
The photos of Kiko and her friends were captured by well-known photographer Lili Forberg, and they are available through an on-line auction to raise funds to support our work. You can help the ISPCA by purchasing an exclusive print, enabling the charity to rescue more animals from cruelty and nurse them back to health. The photos also make great gifts for the animal lover in your life.
Please note that I am unable to answer veterinary questions in comments. If you have questions or concerns about your pet's health it is always better to contact your vet.
