
This week, a piece in the paper noted that insurance claims for dog bites were on the rise in Ireland. It’s not that dog bite numbers are rising: it’s the number of people claiming for compensation that’s going up. Why is this happening? Why do dogs bite, anyway? Is it always the owner’s fault? Does a person approaching a dog have any responsibility?
