VetHelpDirect blog: sensationalist reporting of TB in cats does not help anyone, least of all cats

Vets have known for many years that cats can get TB, and there has always been a theoretical risk of this being transmitted to humans. The fact that this transmission has now been proven to have happened between one cat and two humans has caused a media flurry of interest in the subject, but unfortunately, the reporting seems to have been more to do with attention-grabbing headlines than anything else.
